Yug Pachchhapurkar – a wonder kid!
“Books to the ceiling, Books to the sky, My pile of books is a mile high. How I love them! How I need them! I’ll have a long beard by the time I read them.” – Arnold Lobel
The above lines perfectly sum up Yug Pachchhapurkar’s first love-reading. From Geronimos, Hardy Boys, Enid Blyton, and Wimpy Kids to Devdutt Pattanaik, Sudha Murthy, Roopa Pai, Ruskin Bond, and Supriya Sehgal, he reads them all. His latest favourite is Rick Riordan and all his series on Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythology. His ideal time is when he can find a quiet corner to read his book.
Yug turned 9 this July and stays in Bangalore with his parents. He studies in Greenwood High International School. The dynamic boy bags himself with quite a few awards in the past 2-3 years including Distinction in IEO in 2019 (2nd in Karnataka and 6th international rank) and 3rd rank in inter-school creative writing competition in 2018
Yug recently turned author with his debut fantasy adventure novel ‘The Land of Gold: A Legendary Quest. He credits his love for reading as the main motivation behind weaving his own story. Reading is indeed a pleasure that can be experienced over and over again. We hope to be transported to another world with Yug’s book.
