Soaring High in the Sky – Kite Festival, Pune!

An Overwhelming Response to the Kite Festival in Pune

Located at Royal Palms in Koregaon Park, the Kite Festival witnessed thousands of visitors from all over the city, who came to fly kites, indulge in mouth-watering delicacies, and spend a relaxing day with their loved ones. The event began at 11 am and immediately saw a huge rush of people coming together with kids, friends, and families. The destination had a series of events planned for every age group. While kids could enjoy the games set up especially for them, adults could fly kites, relish the treats, or mingle with their friends. There were also 3 fascinating rides – a bullock cart ride, horse cart ride, and a tractor ride that were major attractions at the venue. Everyone from little ones to adults sat in these rides and went back in time.

As one of the biggest festivals of the New Year in Pune, it attracted a lot of talent from all over the country. For instance, there were kite flyers from Gujarat who were flying colourful 11 feet and 13 feet kites that were soaring high in the sky. There was also an LED show for kites in the evening and the lights looked stunning against the dark skies. In terms of delighting taste buds of the visitors, there were countless options for every palate. While a counter from Rajasthan was offering the traditional food items, others presented crowd-pleasing menus like pizzas, pasta, and momos. There were succulent desserts, refreshing drinks, and tempting starters, too.

Every person received a complimentary kite flying kit from Dunzo, the Gold Partner of the event and as a result, it motivated everyone to try their luck in kite flying. The entire process was eco-friendly without the use of manjhas, making it safe and special for everyone. During the sunset, there were hundreds of colourful kites flying in the sky, making the upcoming festival of Makar Sankranti feel more joyful and colourful.

The team did a fantastic job of putting this event together and is grateful for all the sponsors and partners who could make it such a remarkable success. Moving forward, Entrada the Gyan Bus has a lot of events planned for 2020 to make it one of the most memorable and family-friendly years ever!
