An Author at 6, Navya Manchanda is All Set to Chase Her Dreams!

“Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder.” ~ E.B. White

At NewsShuttle, we not only try to nurture and impact young minds in a positive way but also bring forth inspiring stories of young talents who can set an example for others.
In this endeavour, meet our “wonder kid” of this edition, 6-year old, Navya Manchanda from Quincy, Massachusetts, USA, who has authored her first book titled, “Simply Stupid, Silly Jokes For Kids”. The book caters to kids aged 5-8 years and is also available in the e-book format on Amazon, Apple Books, and Google Play Books.
When asked about how she got motivated, her answer was crisp and clear- “I realized that I was twisting words around a lot during the summer vacation. This inspired me to create jokes and my mom started sharing my jokes with her friends, and they all liked my jokes. I told my parents that it would be cool to have a book of jokes and that’s when my mom got the idea of creating and publishing a book.”
Navya is a first-grade student at Charles A. Bernazzani School. She developed a habit of reading from a young age. Her favorites include Junie B. Jones and Magic Tree House books. When asked if she would like to be an author when she grows up, she said, “I cannot decide if I want to be an artist or an author.” Her other interests are playing the piano, which she has recently started learning. She is all excited to dress up as Owlett, a character from PJ Masks (which she loves watching) on Halloween.
