I have come across people who think being a stay at home parent is not a big deal,  I would say,  IT IS!  Especially if you have been working and then embraced being a parent,  when you are quitting your dream job to take care of your little ones,  IT IS!  I have experience of being a stay-at-home parent for more than five years now, so thought of sharing my feelings today!

𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫  𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟!

Never let a single day pass when you have not done something you are passionate about,  duration maybe 5-10 minutes,  but make sure you make that time and do what you love. This helps you stay sane,  does not let negativity,  frustration, or depression creep in you.

𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬!

You are a stay at home parent,  but that does not mean you are available for everyone at all points of time. Also, it does not give others the authority to take you for granted. Be clear and precise about your own choices and schedules. It’s always good to follow a time-table,  a routine. If you draw the boundaries at the very start and you yourself follow it,  others will gradually get a hang of it.

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞  𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝.

When you are busy taking care of everyone in the family,  remember to prioritize yourself once in a while. Because you cannot pour from an empty vessel. Get some pampering done for yourself, it may be a spa or meditation session! Take a break from your schedules and spend a day in your own way.

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝.

Ask for help if needed, you do not have to be hard on yourself to prove your goodness to others. May it be parenting or any chore or any other task,  do not hesitate to ask for help. Yes you are a stay at home parent,  but that does not mean you have to wear yourself out,  do it all by yourself.

𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝.

We are living in times where things change in seconds,  the world is fast and dynamic. When you meet someone and start talking about your likes and dislikes,  passion,  choices, and views,  make sure you are updated with the latest possible information about the same. With technology evolving so fast,  access to information is not a big deal. All you have to do is follow the right sources.
